Day 116 of 365 – Sunday 26th April – Ben Vorlich

Summit with Davy

Workout 112 of 2026. Day 197 Post Hartmann’s Surgery

It was a big day today. Today was my first Munro post-surgery – Ben Vorlich.

I started with some light centring and activation hips, ankles, trunk all opened up, plus a bit of upper body work (tricep pushdowns 2×15 at 4.5/5.5, bicep iso holds 0:45 across 5/6/7/8, lateral raises and band work). Just enough to switch everything on without taking anything away from the main event.

Then I went out into the hills.

7 hours all in, we took our time with it. The weather was unreal. When we got to the top we sat for a good hour, had some food, a cigar and just took it all in. It was a proper moment.

The best part of the day sharing it with my good mate Davy Wood. I had not seen him in a while, so that made it even more special. Plenty laughs, good chat, and one of those days you won’t forget.

The climb was steady. The descent was controlled. I’m happy that my body held up well the whole way through. That’s the biggest win 6+ months post surgery. Everything I’ve been building in the gym is now showing up where it matters.

From struggling to walk 10 minutes post-surgery… to this.

It’s a massive step forward and 25,674 steps achieved today.
