Workout 113 of 2026. Day 198 Post Hartmann’s Surgery
Today was a really solid session, especially considering where my body was at coming into it.
Recovery was low at 43% which I expected after yesterday’s hike up Ben Vorlich and over 26,000 steps. I could feel the fatigue in my system, but instead of fighting it, I worked with it.
I built into the session gradually, focused on feel, and let it develop naturally. What started as “let’s just move and see” turned into a strong pull session.
A big win today was neutral grip pulldowns. Hit 77/81kg for 6–7 full reps plus 7 partials which is a post-surgery personal best.
That’s a big marker, especially under fatigue. It shows that strength is not just coming back, it’s becoming reliable.
Everything else supported that.
High-rep face pulls, straight arm pulldowns, reverse curls all done with control and intent.
Connection today was on another level. I was fully inside the movements.
That’s what stood out most. Not just the numbers, but how everything felt. Smooth, controlled, deliberate.
This is a big shift for me. A few months ago fatigue would have shut me down. Now I can train through it, adjust, and still make progress.
That’s real development. Physically tired but capable Mentally focused and adaptable
This is what it’s about now. Learning how to perform in the real world, not just when everything is perfect.
I got the work done, moved well, and moved things forward again.
